Journeyperson Welder
Location: Meadow Lake, SK

Reports To: Maintenance Superintendent
We are looking for a Journeyperson Welder to join our team. NorSask Forest Products is a 3 line stud lumber sawmill with operational capacity in excess of 150,000 Mfbm. We operate one of the largest sawmills in Saskatchewan. We produce high-quality SPF (spruce, pine, fir) stud lumber sold in Canada, the United States and overseas.
The ideal candidate will have the following abilities:
Position and Responsibilities:
• Mig welding steel components based on CAD drawings
• Safe operation of manual and / or semiautomatic welding equipment
• Installation of fabricated components into the final assembled product other general welding shop duties as required
• Working in a team environment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Quality Inspection: checking materials and products for conformance to specifications.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision and complete daily activities according to
work schedule.
Qualifications:
• A minimum 5 years of related experience
• Ability to physically handle moderate loads.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
• Overhead hoist and forklift experience an asset
• Own transportation
• Own Tools

NorSask Forest Products is a 140,000 mfbm stud lumber sawmill with marketing, resource management and manufacturing operations located in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. The sawmill was originally established in 1971 and is 100% owned by Meadow Lake Tribal Council.
